We pride ourselves in high standards of uniform at Libanus Primary School. Research shows that wearing school uniform has many benefits. These include:
- School Spirit - by getting everyone to wear the same set of clothes, schools can encourage a sense of unity.
- Improved Discipline - school uniforms help establish a sense of discipline among students, making them less likely to act out or break other rules.
- Reduced Bullying - by making everyone wear uniform the opportunities for children to make fun of each other based on their clothing choices are eliminated.
- Cost Savings - school uniforms are often significantly cheaper than branded clothing. Grants are available.
- Improved Focus - by removing fashion items that can often be distracting, uniforms help students focus on their schoolwork.
Parents are regularly informed of our uniform policy via Parent Mail. We also operate a no jewellery policy in line with Health and Safety regulations.
The uniform is as follows:
- Maroon jogging suit with optional school logo
- Light blue polo shirt,
- Plain black shoes with Velcro fastenings with no coloured strips or logos.
- Maroon sweatshirt with optional school logo
- Light blue polo shirt
- Light grey trousers/skirts
- GRey, white or black tights or socks
- Plain black shoes with no coloured strips or soles
Uniforms with logos can be purchased from A.J.M Embroidery.
All garments, including coats should be clearly marked with your child's name, so that if an item should get lost, it is much easier to trace the owner.
On PE days pupils can wear their normal polo shirt and jumper/cardigan with black only leggings/joggers/shorts and black only trainers. Legging/joggers/shorts and trainers should be plain black with no white or coloured logos, strips or soles. If children do not have the correct P.E. kit they should wear their uniform and school shoes to school and bring their P.E. kit and trainers in their bog.
We now have a uniform exchange – please contact the school office for more information about this.
